How to Fix a Print Spooler

If you see print spooler error every time you try to print something and restarting print spooler service won't help - here is some useful info on how to fix it on your own.

Steps

  1. 1
    Press "Windows" + R buttons on your keyboard and type 'cmd' without quotes.
  2. 2
    In opened window type 'net start spooler' without quotes and look carefully what message you have.
    • If it is Error 1068 "The dependency service or group failed to start" then type the following in the same window: sc config spooler depend= RPCSS (there must be a space after "=" but not before it.)
    • If it is "The required service has been already started" or "The print spooler service started successfully" but you still get error when trying to print - go next.

    Remove your old printer drivers, then stop print spooler service.
  4. 4
    Locate files spooler files spoolsv.exe and spoolss.dll in system32 folder.
  5. 5
    Download this files from dll archive site from the web or copy from your friends PC.
  6. 6
    Replace files in system32 folder with downloaded ones.
  7. 7
    Start print spooler and install latest drivers downloaded from the web.

    • press win r on your keyboard

    • to the right-hand side of the window locate “imagepath” icon
    • double-click on it and type in C:\WINDOWS\system32\spoolsv.exe
    • press enter
    • reboot

Pimples are a normal skin condition that affect many people. 1. Ice

Ice can be used to quickly get rid of pimples. It helps in improving blood circulation to the affected area, and in freezing the skin pores and removing dirt and oil accumulated on the skin. You can use ice cubes or crushed ice, whichever is convenient.
  1. Wrap the ice in a piece of cloth and hold it on the affected skin area for a few seconds.
  2. Wait a few minutes and repeat the process.
When used repeatedly on the pimples throughout the day, ice helps reduce inflammation or swelling and will immediately soothe your skin.

Another quick way to get rid of pimples is the use of lemon juice, which is rich in vitamin C. Lemon juice helps pimples dry up faster. Be sure to use fresh lemon juice and not bottled juice, which has preservatives. There are a couple of ways to apply this remedy.

  • Dip a clean cotton swab in fresh lemon juice and apply it to the pimples before going to bed.
  • You can also make a paste by mixing one tablespoon of lemon juice with one teaspoon of cinnamon powder and put it on the pimples overnight. In the morning, wash the skin well with lukewarm water. However, this particular remedy is not suitable for those with sensitive skin.

3. Honey

Honey is a source of natural antibiotics that can speed up the healing process, as well as help prevent infections.
  1. Dip and clean cotton swab in honey, put it directly on the affected area and leave it on for half an hour.
  2. Wash the skin well with lukewarm water.
Another option is to mix honey and cinnamon together to make a paste and applying it over the pimples before going to bed. In the morning, there will be less inflammation or swelling. Wash the skin well with cold water.

4. Toothpaste

The toothpaste that you use every morning to clean your teeth also can be used to treat pimples quickly. It is most effective when used following the ice remedy. You must use white toothpaste; avoid using gel toothpaste.
  1. Apply some white toothpaste over the affected skin area before going to bed.
  2. In the morning, wash your face with water and you will see a significant improvement in the swelling.
If you wish, you can repeat the process in the daytime also. Just make sure the toothpaste remains on the pimples for at least half an hour.

5. Steam

Steaming is wonderful for your skin at any time, but particularly when you have pimples. The steam will open your pores and allow your skin to breathe. This helps get rid of oils, dirt and bacteria trapped in the pores that can cause infection or inflammation.
  1. Fill a large container with hot water and allow the steam to come in contact with your face for a few minutes.
  2. Rinse your face with lukewarm water and, after drying, apply an oil-free moisturizer.
This treatment will also give your complexion a lovely glow.

6. Garlic

Garlic is an antiviral, antifungal, antiseptic and antioxidant agent that can help in the fast treatment of pimples. The sulfur in garlic also promotes quick healing of pimples.
  1. Cut a fresh garlic clove into two pieces.
  2. Rub the garlic on the pimples and leave it for five minutes before washing the skin with lukewarm water.
  3. Repeat the treatment several times a day.
Eating one raw garlic clove daily can also help purify your blood. But do not to eat too much raw garlic as it can upset the stomach.

depends what router you have, try typing 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1 into the address bar where the tomshardware link is. This should get you into the router setup. If this fails there is a reset hole on the router you can push a pen into and this will remove the password.

3)Navigate to the Wireless Security\Network Security Settings Tab and open locate or change your WEP or WPA Security Passphrase.
Use WPA because it provides better security.

How to fix limited or no connectivity Wi-Fi issues in Windows 8

What happens when Windows 8 or 8.1 shows the following arcane message whenever you try to connect to your wireless network:
This connection has limited or no connectivity.  No internet access
Or maybe you’ve seen this laconic message:
The connection is limited
Windows 8 The connection is limited
So brief.
So rude.
So limited.
By the way, yes my Wi-Fi network is actually called friedchicken and yes I am African American but - no - all African Americans don’t like Fried Chicken but I sure do!
Anyway…
The limited connectivity issue is a vexing problem partially because the error is so freggin’ nebulous and also because you can easily waste an entire day trying to fix it.  What’s even more confounding is that sometimes you’ll see this error even though you have five bars of signal strength (just like me in the above graphic)
Usually most people try disconnecting and reconnecting and a few audacious neophytes try uninstalling the network adapter.
You actually don’t need to go to such bold lengths…
Here are four tricks that will almost certainly fix this problem:
  • Reset the TCP/IP stack
  • Disable Wi-Fi adapter napping
  • Enabling Metered Connection Downloads
  • Reset TCP/IP Autotuning

1. Use netsh.exe

There are a few things you can do to fix this problem but the easiest and most common solution is to use netsh to reset the TCP/IP stack to its default configuration.
The NetShell utility (netsh.exe) is a highly versatile tool that lets power users manage a myriad of computer processes right from the command line.  Here’s how to put the tool to work for you:
Press the Windows Key + x + a to launch the Command Prompt with administrator rights.

Now in the black window type the following command:
netsh int ip reset C:\resetlog.exe
Then reboot the computer and retry the internet connection.  It should connect fine now.

2. Wake up your Wi-Fi Adapter

If this only temporarily absolves the issue then the network adapter might be going into a sleep mode to conserve energy.
Press Windows Key + w to bring up the Settings search box and type:

Click on the name of your Wi-Fi network and choose the Properties button in the lower left corner under.

In the Wi-Fi Properties window click the Configure button.

Then pick the last tab called Power Management and you’ll see this option:
Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power.

Uncheck it, click OK and then login to your computer again to confirm the fix.

3. Enable Download over metered connections

If you’re iPhone, Blackberry or Galaxy S4 as a mobile hotspot, turning on Download over metered connections might just do the trick.
Press the Windows Key + w and type

When the Devices screen flips onto the screen, toggle the knob to On then logout and login to your computer to apply the change.

Keep in mind you should try this even if you know for sure that you aren’t using a metered connection.  I know that sounds inane but for some reason turning this on fixes the problem.

4. Reset TCP/IP Autotunning

No no no, I’m not talking about the audio processor created by Antares that hip hop producers use to make musical artists sound like musical robots.  That’s auto tune.  Autotunning, as it applies to networks, refers to modifying the congestion buffers to allow reliable connectivity.
If you’ve tried all three of the tips above but the [sic] internets [/sic] is still down then check outfjam’s deft post on tipsandtricksforum.com.
Using the following three netsh commands in Windows 8 and 8.1 might fix the issue.  I haven’t corroborated the result so I don’t know if it works but it’s certainly worth a shot:
netsh int tcp set heuristics disabled
netsh int tcp set global autotuninglevel=disabled
netsh int tcp set global rss=enabled

Let me explain what all this does:
The first netsh command disables the scaling window in TCP after the second re-transmission of a SYN packet.  The details are kind of abstruse so I’ll spare them but the bottom line is that sometimes Windows seems to arbitrarily change the way the TCP buffers are sized.
Executing the above netsh commands changes the TCP Window size to 65,535 and enforces the change which precludes Windows 8 from flubbing with it again.

The Bottom Line

Whenever your Wi-Fi network shows limited access try the simple stuff first like rebooting or reconnecting.  If that doesn’t work, reset the TCP/IP stack, wake up your Wi-Fi adapter, enabling metering and reset autotunning.  That should get you back online!

People have this misconception in their minds that business men work hard because they want to earn more. Nothing could be further from the truth. I am a business man & I wouldn’t deny that profit is a concern. However, it is not the most important concern. I work hard for my business because it makes me happy. Seeing that it is probably now clear that dieting not only does not work, but that it often causes extra weight gain in the long run, it is time to see what we can do instead.
But what alternative is there to dieting? Surely, to lose weight, someone would have to eat less and presumably exercise more - and eating less is dieting, isn’t it? Well not always.

Counter Intuitive

Squirrels hide nuts, so that they can create food security for themselves throughout the year. It is inefficient for them to be carrying any extra fat while they have food security and as a result, they are among the leanest animals on the planet.
Your body will not want to carry any excess fat if it feels that it has food security, which means it can always get what it wants. What we need to do is to totally convince our bodies that we have food security. To do this we need to Eat, Eat and EAT! That's Right! We need to do what seems to be the total opposite of dieting, it is counter intuitive. We need to:
Eat whenever we are physically hungry,
Eat
 as much as we really want and 
Eat
 whatever we really want.
If ever you are trying to not eat when you are physically hungry, or to eat less than you want, or you try to cut out or limit any foods that you really want, then you are telling your body that there is food scarcity and it will want to store and carry fat. Only by giving your body exactly what it wants when it wants, and as much as it wants, will it be willing to let go of its fat reserves.
Now in fairness, once you let your body have what it wants, when it wants it and just as much as it wants, then it is likely to be a lot less demanding. You are likely to end up eating a lot less than usual
However, this alone is not quite enough to ensure that you can reliably get slimmer and there is one magic ingredient that can make all the difference. You need to take your time to really taste and chew your food. Only this way can your body and the deeper parts of your brain properly keep track of what and how much you are eating and give you thefull satisfaction you want from eating just enough for what you truly need.
If you allow your body to have whatever it wants and you really take your time to taste your food, quite soon you may well find that you just don’t want as much food as you used to eat. You become completely satisfied with just exactly enough for your body’s real needs. So yes, you end up eating less, and yet without denying yourself even one tiny little bit.

Six Easy Principles

Altogether, just as outlined by Paul McKenna, there are Six easy to follow principles that are the most reliable and effective ways for you to become slim and stay as slim as is naturally healthy for you.
By the way, notice that we call them ‘Principles’ and definitely not ‘rules’. We know that if we give people rules, then they want to break them; we don’t like being told what to do and what not to do! On the other hand, these principles are simply useful guidelines. You can use them flexibly. You can introduce them gradually if you want. And if you end up going against them from time to time, it is not the end of the world! This is all about giving you choice, finding out for yourself what works and giving you the freedom and flexibility to adapt to your situation. – So let’s take a look at them.

1. Take your time to properly taste and chew your food.

This is the single most effective and important of all the principles. Most people when they are eating are going Chomp-Chomp, Swallow! And they are missing out on getting the full satisfaction from their food. This one principle helps all the others to work more easily.
Avoid distractions such as TV and radio, and put your cutlery (or your food if you are holding it) Down while you eat. Wait till you have swallowed before picking them up again. You may be surprised at the difference this makes.
Drink soup and beverages slowly. Remember they are food too... If they are flavoured, they are meant to be savoured!If you are thirsty and want to gulp something down, try water...

2. Eat when you are physically hungry

This may seem just Too obvious. However it means Not eating when you are just bored or for comfort eating. And also not just because you are supposed to eat three square meals a day! – This was an invention of the industrial revolution. On the other hand, do not delay eating once you are physically hungry, or there is a risk you will eventually end up bolting your food and overeating.

3. Eat Anything You Like!!!!!

If you eat slowly enough and really savour your food, then the deeper part of your brain will adjust your tastes and desires for you. You must avoid denying yourself Anything once you are physically hungry, or your body will still think there is a famine. Only when your body knows it can have Whatever it wants (Yes - even if it wants Chocolate Cake!)will it be willing to offload excess supplies of stored energy in the form of fat.
(Obviously avoid any foods that may be bad for you as a result of a medical condition.)

4. Stop eating once you have had Enough

If you eat slowly enough and really taste your food, you will feel satisfied with far less food than before. If someone feels ‘Full’ it means their stomach has been over filled and is calling for mercy! So 'Full' is Too Much!
There is a scale of what counts as “enough”, starting from:
No longer hungry - I could stop now if I wanted, through to
I ‘think’ that is enough and
I ‘feel’ that is enough, to
MMMmmmm That was nice!
If you take your time, you will easily get the more subtle feeling of having had enough without having stuffed yourself.
Remember: Take your time – Really taste your food!

5. Take moderate exercise

Many people think that the most important thing about exercising is the amount of calories we burn off while doing it. However, with moderate exercise, we actually burn off more calories in the two or three hours after we have exercised than during it!
Just a walk around the block is often all it takes to raise your metabolism enough for this. In fact it is important to avoid overdoing things in the early stages. Better to under exercise in the beginning and avoid putting yourself off from overdoing things. Build up gradually if you want later; you might even get to enjoy it, it produces 'happy chemicals' - endorphins!

6. Weigh Less

Yes, it’s a pun! However, weighing yourself too frequently just picks up the small natural variations that could discourage people. It is best to only weigh yourself about once a fortnight; Preferably at the same point in the day on the same day of the week. Midweek is probably best.

Take it Easy!

Weight loss using these principles is a gentler more gradual process than dieting. Your body needs to get used to the idea that it can have anything and everything it wants before it is going to be willing to let go of those pounds and ounces (kilos and grams if you prefer.) Don’t rush it; your body might even want to check that it can put a little extraON! - before it is willing to let it go off again. Let it have its way; feed it, nurture it, just don’t stuff it. When it feels Safe,Then is when it will let the pounds drop away!
Once you start using these principles, you may well be surprised at how easy and effective they can be and at how little food your body actually wants.
